Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is an Mexican American journalist. She currently works as a sportscaster for ESPN and is anchor for SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. Her first assignment with ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been so since when she was nine years old. The ability to speak two languages has helped her get her first position at Univision, Miami. She worked alongside national producers on shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Following this she was hired by she was hired by the CBS station located in St. Petersburg employed her as a sports reporter. Then she moved into Rio Grande Valley in 2009 as a reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. Reporters covered issues related to the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs across both Texas as well as Mexico. The duties of anchoring for weather or sports were often requested. Her family relocated into Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. In 1992, her parents separated soon after. In 1995, she got married again Fabio Fajardo who was an engineer in the naval sector who died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. The couple remained at Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime, which was the time she received an opportunity to work. Antonietta was a senior in high school who had a vision of how she wanted her life to look like, came to Mount Union University to determine whether the university was suitable for her. The result was that she was a fan of the campus as well as the fact that it offered the degree she was looking for. When she completed her high school studies, she entered the University to pursue media studies. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was member of her class, established a long-lasting relationship with her. The passion he had for journalism as well as confidence in herself inspired her. In turn, she attempted to live up to the standards he set and to not fail him.
